Fish Lake - June 2008
We had a fun time with the entire Hill Clan at Fish Lake in central Utah. We did well as most of the kids caught a fish. Doug spent little time fishing and most of the time steering the boat and keeping fishing lines from crossing. Most of us went on a favorite hike along the top of a mountain near Fish Lake. Marie (Mom) was there with members from Sidney, Suzanne, Doug, James, Roger, and Mike's families.
Elder Blake Hill, Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission
Elder Blake Hill left on his full time mission for the Mormon (LDS) Church in March 2007 and returned home after faithful service on March 25, 2009. He did great work reactivating members and bringing new members into the church. He served for several months as a District and Zone Leader.
January 2008 - Club Red Volleyball
During January 2009, Jordan's Club Red 16s volleyball team played in the Fiesta Tournament at ASU that features over 50 teams from several western states. Six of the ten girls on Jordan's team played on Jordan's Gilbert High JV volleyball team. After winning all their games on Saturday and Sunday, they lost their first game on Monday against the #1 ranked team from El Paso, Texas. They then won six straight matches in the losers bracket to get back to the Championship match where they beat the El Paso team in three straight games to win the tournament.
June 2007
Roger, Mike and I hiked the Grand Canyon from the South Kaibab Trail on the way down and spent the night at the bottom and slept on the ground. James hiked with us for part of the way down. We got up early the next day and hiked up Bright Angel Trail on the way up. We saw lots of deer, condor and other animals on our trip. Yes, it was difficult for the last two miles out of the canyon.
